In the illustration there are 2 braces shown, the arrow here is pointing to the thin brace and then there is a thicker hollow tube brace also. Not sure if convertibles have the same braces but my 75 convertible has both of these in that location I believe. The radiator brace has a threaded end and a hole in the other end.
Can someone help with the location of this brace rod? 1971 coupe, thought it came from the passenger side?
Thanks!
Is this a hollow tube type brace,if so the straighter end up under the dash and the end with a sharper end bolt to a stud on the trans hump,if you put the end with the sharper end on that stud it should put the straight end in the area where it goes. When sitting in the pass side there is a small trim panel that bolts at the front of the lower console,it covers this brace. It shows this bracket in the illustration bolted to the stud on the trans hump. It's been awhile so I might have the orientation of which end goes where. This brace is # 2 in the illustration.
