Hi everybody,
There was a rubber fuel line from the pump to the carb when I got the car and now it has been kinked? so I'm gonna replace it with the pipe as it should be. I have the pipe and the 90 degree fitting that goes in the pump. But how on earth is that doable without tearing half the engine bay apart? What's the trick? And btw, witch end is going where (bent differently)?
Thanks for any advice.
It's a -79, L82, 4 speed manual
Best regards Björn (from Sweden so I hope u understand my english)
Hi, that's the line I've got and as u can see on that page there is a fitting that goes into the fuel pump. Maybe I don't need it but I thought better to order it since it takes 10-14 days to get parts to Sweden.
Thanks for replying
Only fitting I see are the two that are already on the line. You install it from under the car. Perhaps an accessory is blocking easy access, such as AC compressor?
This is the fitting I'm talking about, https://www.zip-corvette.com/70-81-9...p-fitting.html, as I said, don't know if I need it. I've removed the ac bracket, but I don,t think that is enough. Probably need to remove some heater hoses at the top, close to carb.
Thank's alot interpon, I see the 90 degree fitting on the pump. Now I'm just gonna figure out how to get the line up to the carb. Still think I need to remove more stuff to get it in place.
I guess the line is under the heater and vacuum hoses?
