Horn continuously on
1977 Corvette w new turn signal and wiring installed
Just bought this Corvette and the previous owner said the turn signal did not work, but he bought the parts and gave them to me. I installed the new (used) turn signal lever with the associated steering column side switch. One wire was broken so I bought a new terminal connector and reattached. I also installed the new turn signal switch with the new wiring terminating in the harmonica connector. I re-assembled the steering column up to the steering wheel. When I went to reconnect the battery the horn turned on and would not shut off. So I pulled out the horn relay and started to disassemble the steering column again. Every time I removed a part, I would plug in the horn relay to isolated the problem. However if you look at the attached pic, I got down this far and the horn is still blaring when I install the relay. Does anyone know what may be causing my issue? I would like some hints before I take more parts out. Thank you.
