While checking the levels today, the dipstick tip broke off in the tube. Approx an inch of it I assume. Attempts to retrieve it with a magnet not successful as of yet. Looking for any ideas you may have.
Not by any means a transmission professional, how screwed am I ? Will it be captured in the filter if it has made its way through, or am I in a world of hurt?
Odd that the bottom one inch would break off but I wouldn't sweat it. It cannot get past the filter and will just lay in the bottom of the pan until you do your next service.
