Default Installed PCV - backfires through carb?

Hi!

i have a C3 1975 with an 350 engine.

I installed the PCV from the valve cover to the PCV vaccum port on the carb ( Carburetor, M2008, 750 cfm). Before that i had the vaccum hose to the headlights connected to that vacccum port but i had a free vaccum port on my intake ( edelbrock performer eps) where i bought an vaccum fitting and connected that hose to the intake instead.

before that the PCV hose from the valve cover was not connected to anything.
on the other Valve cover i have a ventilated oil filler cap

The car ran fine before i connected the hose to the PCV port on the carb and the vaccum fitting on the intake. But now it backfires a lot from the carb and will not even start up anymore. What could be the problem? Do i need to adjust the idle mixture screws on the carb because i connected the PCV?

you did just add a vacuum leak in a sense. You will have to check everything as it will be running leaner and possibly a bit higher rpm. I would check all your tuning parameters....
