When I drive my Vette I have to hold my wheel in the 2 o'clock position to keep car straight. This makes my turn signals hard to use. I searched and read other threads but I am a bit confused.
If my wheel is at the two oclock position while my stop pin is at 12 o'clock wouldn't adjusting my tie rods make the stop pin move out of the 12 o'clock position? Or do I not need to worry about that? I'm also assuming my alignment is way out of wack as the car feels darty. It drives straight until is doesn't lol. I might try the string method but wanted to make sure wheel was centered and correct before getting crazy adjusting toe. I did not pull wheel cap and check detent to make sure no one had moved the wheel before me.
And yes the wires need to be spliced and rerouted. Fixing Bubba's work one task at a time.
After marking the rod and counting the turns prior to removing a leaky ps control valve, my wheel was still off center upon replacement. The car drove straight for the most part but was annoying not having the wheel at 12:00
Tried the tie rods to straighten it out, but never perfect like prior to the valve replacement.
A pro at the alignment shop was all it took. Got a 4 wheel alignment and shes laser straight now.
I saved that thread, very informative. Sent my valve to a well known rebuilder in Texas only to have it leak again in around 100 miles.
5 year warranty but I will tolerate it as I really dont want to mess with it anymore. Should have tried it myself.

Yes, you should take a swing at it. I did mine and it was not difficult at all. No leaks so far.
