Default Another rebuild parts question

Just received new arp head bolts and dressing kit, I know this has been discussed in length, but I need to know, my engine has never been opened until now 427 L36 can I clean the bolts and have them reused without problem, please give me pros and cons on why not to do this, it is not a case of the cost more of originality, as I can find the short ones but not the long ones

You will get two schools of thought on this one but IMO if your head bolts are original and are in good shape, I would have no concerns about re-using them.

69L88 is right...
Some will say the old bolts have been stretched and should not be used again.
Others will say it is okay to reuse them...
My opinion is that the old bolts should be fine, but make sure they are completely clean threads...
I would probably run a tap in the hole and a die over the bolt to make sure the threads are super clean so the torque is correct...

and was going to ask around as well

IMHO if the engine has never been apart I would have no issue concerning the re-use of all the bolts in the engine. As said just clean them up. Unless it is a race engine they should hold up fine.

They will be just fine....but the ARP bolts when properly prepped make for a much better clamp.
