Default 1969 build sheets

I know a build sheet is usually located somewhere on the gas tank, but I think that has been replaced. Where else can I find the build sheet for my car? Anybody trace histories on these older cars?

Thanks.

I have heard of people finding build sheets under the carpeting and also up under the dash between the speedo and tach. My car only had one, on the tank.

Behind the radio is a common location, another place is up under the rear pumpkin. Other people have found them in all sorts of wierd places. I searched my car high and low and was not able to locate any traces of the build sheet. Then one day I was looking through the volumes of paper work I got with the car and found the build sheet. Apparently a previous owner recovered it from someplace and put it in with the rest of the documentation.
