So i bent my flange last week as I wasn't aware that you have to have it bolted to prevent bending. I have a new one on order will arrive tomorrow. However, non of the vendors have this plate in stock. I even thought by time I bought the plate and U joints I could buy the assembly is not in stock anywhere. Does anyone have this plate I could rent to install these u joints?
bolt both of the flanges together & you have the same support.
make sure the insides where the u joints set are clean & wipe a finger of oil inside before assembly
or I have a homemade one you can use, pay shipping

Honestly don't this plate (1/4" thick ) is any stronger than a flange, if you bent yours than you were to hasty.
Hell I can built those for cheaper than $50.00, just have to find a deal on material on the bay place.
My only haste was not using a block i made ( not 1/4 inch).. and bolting them together and bending (not by much) them.
those flanges are not asrigid as 1/4. You also need to clearance for the raised lip..tokeep flat https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ual-l82-2.html
I’ve heard it recommended that removing the big nut that holds the spindle flange and using the flange itself as a support for pressing out the u-joint, then just torquing the flange back on with the nut when you’re done. If this method is employed will the spindle bearing setup be disturbed? Suggesting/asking for a friend.

I used the spindle flange for pressing in the U-joints. I think I cut my old u-joints out. It doesn't mess up the bearing set-up. Vansteel ships them with it off after they rebuild wheel bearing assembly.
