It's # matching (Base 350 and TH400), the front end has been backed in by another car, while in the body shop. The car has been sitting in the garage for 10 years. The frame is in excellent shape. Interior is original and good condition, but in pieces. Run and drive.
To be a "driver only", It needs: front clip, bumpers, left headlite, left outer grille, parking lamp; And of cause, the body work and paint job!
4-5 grand at most....thing is...the windshield area....gotta know if the 'bird cage ' is rusted out....IF the frame is good, as you say....
it's an ok project....but if frame if not good, and or birdcage is rusted out...
you got junk there....maybe 2k for parts....
Also realize if its been sitting so long a lot of suspension bits will need replacing and steering parts, hoses, etc. It will be a lot to get it running again so I think Gene is pretty accurate.

Mine sat 24 years. I invested $5k for belts, hoses, all fluids, valve guides, radiator, gas tank drop and drain, clutch, full brake system rebuild, and a host of other items with no attention to suspension (still works great but will ned to be redone). I had all of the work done for me, however. Someone that has the time and expertise could have done this cheaper.
Given the price of a numbers match 72, I tend to think closer $4 to 5k is low.

I think 4k to 5k is about right.....I could have bought a good looking driver 4 speed for 7500 bucks just the other day...72
If you dont need, or really want this car for that matter, then its not worth very much at all. However, If you want it and have the time/money to put in it then 4 or 5k would be ballpark.
You have to think about what it would cost after you fixed it up, which raises the price considerably. And if this is your second vette then would it take away time/money from your "main" vette?
Lots of things to consider, but the main thing is for you to get what you want or you will hate yourself later.
Thank you all for replied. I forgot to mention that the birdcage is in good condition with some surface rust. The car comes with extra parts: 2 hoods, 2 complete wiper door assemblies and 2 set of rally rims.
The price tag is ($3.5 bucks). Another $3 bucks and my summer, I'll have a fourth C3 for my collections! I don't trust any mechanic out there. I'll spend 90% of works on this thing in my back yard. :auto: :auto: :auto:
