Default To Remove front cap or not?

I just finished my chassis restoration and it's time to move on to the body work. I have to do rust repair on one of the lower windshield corners and was was considering pulling the front cap off to do it. One of the trusted members on here told me it's a major PITA to get it off and back on, and it's much easier to just cut the corner of the fenders off to get access for repairs then bond them back on with Vette Panel Adhesive. What experiences have others had and what are your recommendations?

I didn't fancy removing the whole front clip, so I replaced the lower corner from the inside as shown on the Corvette Kingdom website.

of course this does mean removing the instrument panel and drilling out the spot welds of the inner corner panel.
