82 Fuel Sending Unit Resistance
Fuel gauge has a mind of its own in my 82. Sometimes it appears to work but is inconsistent while driving. I disconnected the 3 conductor plug at the tank and measured the signal wire (pink) to ground (black) on the sender side. It read 280 ohms so it appears it’s bad. Can anyone confirm that the 82 sending unit should read between 0-90 ohm?

Almost all fuel sending units are 0 - 90 ohms. Even on Harley Davidson motorcycles. I am certain that my 77 is 0 - 90. Can't see why a 82 would be any different.
