Default Intake manifold bolts

Hey guys. I am currently putting new heads and intake on my 76 l48 350. I have e-street 5089 heads and and edelbrock performer air gap 2601 intake. My question is about the bolts. Edelbrock recommends their 8504 intake bolts. I believe they are 1" long. I have read that with the washer the bolts are actually too short. Does anyone have any input here? Just want to get the correct bolts.

I use and recommend the ARP 12pt. Intake manifold bolt set in Stainless Steel......the 12pt makes tightening easier on certain intakes and the stainless won't look like **** in a years time.....

I think your best bet would be to physically measure the thread depth of the holes on the heads. Some may be different. I have 1 short one on my BB.
Set the manifold and gasket in place and then use a piece of threaded rod, a dowel, etc to measure the length. You definately do not want the bolts to bottom out, while still getting good thread engagement.
I would also pre-check the threads in the heads to make sure they're all ok .
Definately use thread sealant on any holes that go through the head into the water jacket.

Just beware that some bolt holes can interfere and hit the pushrod if bolt is too long.
