sorry if these questions seem dumb
ie; if I sold my vette I can keep the plate and put on another car.
A lote of vette owners here have personalised plates.
Guys and gals in the club have ZR1, vetgirl, stingy, 25anv and others.

In Nevada, there are 3 choices for C3's. One is "Classic Vehicle", which is at least 25 years old and has not been modified. There is also "Classic Rod", which is a vehicle which has been manufactured more than 20 years ago, and can be customized, and finally, there is "Street Rod" which are vehicles manufactured since 1949 and have been customized.
Since mine is mostly stock, I chose the Classic Rod plates.
The cost is $36 initally, and $10 a year thereon, above all other fees.
I paid $106, including sales-tax, since this was the first time I registered the Vette since I bought it in 2000.
It should be about $50 now-on.
If you're more interestred, more info is at: http://www.dmvnv.com/platesclassic.htm
Enjoy,
David
