Thank you previous owner!
A lot of the time we all moan and groan about stupid things previous owners have done to our corvettes, and for good reason! But sometimes you get lucky and somebody did some nice work in years past. I knew the guy I bought it from 5 years ago mentioned he had the rear end rebuilt. I never was sure if it meant the diff or trailing arms and bearings, well I found out the answer to that question today. This took me exactly 1 hour to remove! I’ll be transferring the bearing/hub assembly over to new Global West trailing arms along with GW strut rods and QA1 double adjustable shocks. I was really dreading removing the old trailing arms but I have to say thank you the the previous owner for the easiest 1 hour I’ve spent working on this car!!!

However, the arm could have been dressed better than that. If there is no endplay in the bearings you will still have to address runout and those studs sticking out don't help.
I can't clearly tell but one of the support legs appears to be bent. The shock mounts should be replaced and check them as new imported ones sometimes are off.
Good luck
