Looking into a rough idle situation on my 82 corvette and ruled out most everything so looking into the ignition system. I pulled the plugs to see how they look after about 1500 miles. What surprised me is the color. All of the plugs except for #2 almost look yellow. I've always seen a tan color so what could this be?
It is very hard to tell from your picture but there appears to be a problem with #2...
Is the insulator really white or perhaps even chipped?
That's a good eye. Had to bring out the magnify glass for that one but it's just an odd coloring pattern. That plug gap was off by almost .010 compared to the rest of the plugs so that may have something to do with it?
Thanks everyone for your input. Looks like my issue end up being with my MAP sensor. I have a smooth idle now.
