Default Need some wheel/tire help

I have a set of tires I was planning on using on another car, but decided they might look good on the Vette. Can anyone tell me if a 275/40/17 running on a 9.5" rim with 5.5" BS fit on the Vette rear? Does anyone have pics of a wheel/tire combo this size?

Thanks
Ken

You can look at my site there....now MY measurements are a bit differant...but on stock wheels...from weight face flange to mount flange it's 3.5 inches.... and a 17 inch '92 vette wheel is 7 inches...minus my 2.5 inch wheel adaptor makes that 4.5 inches net...about the most max depth you can use on a stock t-armed shark....now if you do NOT have a sway bar...you notice another inch of clearance to the frame....fine....so go to the offset arms....I wuld try keeping the centerline of the wheel/tire the same....
bearing loading/camber/wear/stress etc....you notice 8" to 9.5" wheel width is 3/4 inch PER SIDE....
I find Nitto 275/50/17 tires a great fit.....

YMMV....
