Steering Arm & Brake Caliper Bracket Torque Specs?
I’ve looked through the AIM, Shop Manual and Parts Catalog and can’t find the torque specs for the bolts that go through the steering knuckle, steering arms and caliper brackets.
I also can’t find the torque spec for the big fat bolt that attaches the brake splash shields.
Can someone who knows post the up?
Thanks,
Greg
Steering Arm to spindle 70 ft-lb (chassis manual) note: longer bolt on front
Caliper bracket upper bolt (fat one) must have been shipped as an assembly as there is no listed torque... That said here's what I dug up https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...rque-spec.html
General consensus seems to be 50-70 on the lower bolts and 90-120 on the upper.
I used 70 (chassis manual and Van-Steele) and 120 (no solid reference found)
