SST just sent me a sale add on their complete kits, so don’t waste much time or you could pay more, because they are also having a price increase January first.
You can go online and pull up their installation instruction sheets and see everything you need to do for the entire install.
The SST kits are the best and come with everything needed and all top quality components.
I did it 2 years ago. Honestly getting the pedals out/in was probably the hardest part of the swap. I pulled the gauge cluster, center gauges and console, steering column and drivers seat out to do it. I used the opportunity to fix some wiring issues and swap to all led bulbs in the dash. I rebuilt the steering column while it was out too. I took my time throughout the conversion and I had it done in a month or so working in the evening when I had time. I did the hydraulic clutch too and I definitely recommend it.
Now after all that, it was worth every, swear, busted knuckle and penny. It completely changed the car, brought it to life (and I have a 454)! It is such a blast to drive now, I recommend it completely. I got my kit from SilverSport and they were great to deal with.
I sold my automatic car and bought a 4-spd car, then installed a w/c T-5 from a 91 v-8 firebird. The W/C t-5 swap is detailed in several places as many have done this already using a 87-91 Camaro or Firebird W/C T-5.
I am still hoping someone will give me a “yes or no” answer as to whether i would need to remove the wiper door or not.
i have wore out the internet searching and reading about this😊, it seems that there are bolts in the wiper cowl area that need to come out for the pedal box removal.
most of the detailed info i found, wasnt doing this swap on a chrome bumper year car with a wiper door.

No you don’t have to remove the wiper door, just the grille in front of it. If you shine a flashlight in there you can see the 4 bolts.
