Water Pump Replacement?
I need to replace my water pump. What's been the CF experience with pumps from Auto Zone or O'Reilly's?

I put an Autozone waterpump on a couple of months ago. So far so good. The pump is new, with a lifetime warranty, and the price is right.

I've had one on for about 8 months. No problems and can't beat the warranty/price.

I just put on a $24.00 lifetime warranty long type water pump from Autozone on my pickup. I was going to use the one that came with my ZZ4, but the hub bolt pattern was different. Other than that the new Autozone pump looked just like the new GM pump. It's been on the truck for about a month and isn't leaking, yet!

This might be a seperate topic, but is anyone running an electric water pump on the street?
I like the idea of having one less belt & pulley cluttering the engine compartment.

Since I have a big block and they are known for over heating I wanted to buy the best water pump I could find to minimize problems. I bought the Edlebrock Victor series aluminum pump. It has an increase flow of 20% and I use a 3/4 restrictor plate instead of thermostat. The car runs at 160 degrees even if the out side temp is 99 degrees
