I have a OAW 365 E1 supposed 3.08 gear ratio, I have decided to change ring and pinion but I don't know if it will be better to put it in my stock differential knowing a lower gear ratio will be hard on stock casting? The plus is by doing it my self assures a good job on install , so what I am asking should I buy used heavier differential or will my stock differential will hold up ?
There is no such thing as a 'heavier' differential, well except a $4000 unit for hardcore racing, if it's even still in production. Chevy used the same casting, each year, for whatever engines they optionally supplied. What can be done is larger U-joints, stronger half-shafts, stub axles with greater number of splines, billet bearing cap, 12-bolt (case is still basically the same) etc. However, we need the details. 1000HP BB engine or stock 300HP 350. What kind of driving, weekend fun or serious road racing? Year, engine, tranny. Most likely a quality rebuild of what you have will be more than adequate, there will part replacements. I see you are in NY, don't know which part, but the best differential builder that we know of is up your way - @GTR1999 If I were you I would seriously consider having him rebuild your diff.

Are you racing? Are you using slicks? I broke a few gears but never a case. I was abusing the rear end with lots of burnouts and drag racing. a 3.55 (removed but not investigated), a 3.70 (spider gears) behind a 430 hp 327. I have a 4.11 behind a 500 hp 427 and its fine and I still abuse it but I dont run slicks
