Default What are these heads ?

I'm planning on purchasing new heads for my 357 and I look around here and there in case there is any good used deals (which in the UK is very sparse) I have seen these and it isn't clear what they are or their spec. There is a number I can see on the head but cant seem to find much on it. I have spoken to the seller and he said he will try and find out. Just wanted to see if anyone here can tell me ?

GM Bow Tie "049" heads......and they are beat to ****. One chamber has had a piston come apart on it and it appears they just smoothed it off and ran it.......these have a very tall port, difficult to seal an intake up to (Edelbrock makes a specific intake for this pt#2814).
I would pass.

I lived in England for 12 years, there was a place in Red Hill called American autoparts. They've been there since the 1970s. Try googling them.

Chris - you have a few places in the UK you can check with - try Real Steel in Uxbridge (Edelbrock and AFR) and Roadcraft in Worthing (Edelbrock)

Thanks jebby, i knew someone would know and i only thought they might be decent as someone has spent a little on them with the valvetrain assembly and it is set up for a roller cam but i will stick with something like the trick flow 175's you have recommend when i have the spare ££ and its not dark and raining here ....
