Default Key release

The silver lever (image for reference) on my 1970 will not move (wiggles about 1/4"). I have the cable removed, and I still cannot get this to move, so I can remove the key from the ignition. Thoughts

I don't see your image but I'm pretty sure I know what your talking about.
try having a helper giggle the key back and forth from on and off while you try to move the lever in the engine bay.
If it still won't budge I guess you'll need to get into your column.

The problem is that the lever will not move in the engine bay. I will still try the helper approach, but I have never had a C3 where this lever was frozen. I have prayed oil in it for days.
Thanks.

Sounds like it's frozen/jambed in the column. Not all that hard to remove the ignition barrel. Just need to get behind the signal switch. Perhaps once that deep you could disconnect from the ignition barrel end.
