Default Load noise at A/C compressor

I rebuilt the A/C system on my 72 SB in the spring of 2023. New(or possibly re mand, don’t remember)A6 A/C Delco compressor, all new hoses, both evaporator and condenser sent out to a radiator shop for pressure test and clean. The refrigerant remains R12.
Yesterday was a beautiful day here in So. Cal. so I dropped the top and took here out for a spin. Upon leaving the garage all was good, drove it around 10 miles to our first stop for some grub. When we got back in for our next stop and started the engine there was a loud noise at idle, not your typical belt screech but close. The noise subsided once rpm increased. The noise only happens when the clutch is engaged.
I’m in hopes it’s something I can handle without changing the compressor, being the R12 is hard to come by and my A/C guy who handles the refrigerant charge doesn’t have a way to recapture the R12.
Thank you for your input.

Video?
maybe tighten belt? They need to be pretty tight, if not make very strange noises.
those compressors and r12 can cool a tank and it shows on the draw.
