Figured I bounce this off you guys, not very good with speakers.
So I have clarion speakers, that have an impedance of 4 ohms. I went ahead and checked the wires to the passenger side and the wires have 4 ohms, checked the terminals on the speaker as well and it had 4 ohms. I then sat thought maybe just maybe that there is a switch or something that can make a speaker louder than the other, so got to looking and find that there is one on the volume side. Only thing is that the driver side speaker does adjust to the switch( making it quieter to equal the other side) but the passenger side still doesn’t give me anything. I wanted to ask what you guys thought? Passenger speaker doesn’t look bad and the connections look good but why am I not getting anything out of the speaker?
Open to any advice or suggestions, don’t go to hard on me.
I agree with 4-vettes. Swap sides and see what happens. If the passenger side still produces no sound then check the wiring at the back of the radio. You can also take a battery and apply it directly to the speaker terminals. Use a small one like a 9V. It should pop the cone up or down depending on polarity. If speakers and wiring looks ok then your radio has a bad output.
