Just bought 1981 Corvette….totally Original Survivor…No Mods….
ISSUE: Oil Gauge stays pegged out to High Pressure side…. Key On or Off; Engine Running or Off
Any ideas before start looking for a Replacement Gauge?
I'm not sure if it's behind the distributor (likely), or by the oil filter (less likely, but possible), but the sender looks like this (this is a test on an LS engine, your engine will not look like this).
The other option is that the flexible circuit board behind your gauges needs to be adjusted or replaced. Try wiggling it, if you can reach behind your gauge cluster.
