I was at LJ’s Spped and Machine the other day and they were promoting Locktite’s new ORANGE LOCKTITE.
It is supposed to have the strength of red but only requires regular tools to remove the fasteners it has been applied to.
They said they have played around with it and they said it seems to work as advertised.
Has anyone else used it?
I've never had any issues getting red undone using regular tools. And we use a fair bit on Harley's. Work with it every day. Only time there is an issue is when someone puts red on a tiny screw.

I can break the red free with effort...I believe the green needed heat. I am going to order some orange on my next Summit order. Having strength that can break easily would be nice

Yup. The only time I’ve ever regretted red loctite was on a mini screw. Snapped the head right off trying to undo it. Far too small to drill out too. Never again lol.
I’ll have to look for orange and give it a try. Thanks for the heads up.
I’ve never had any issues using red on anything and only use blue on small screws.
We always used green on missile hardware for the extreme stresses on the components.
I had a couple bottles of it and used it for years, until it was all used up.
I’ll probably stick with the red and blue, but figured I would throw this out there for anyone interested.
