Stuck
This morning, I changed the oil, filter, greased fittings and tightened misc. screws and bolts while the car was in the air (didn’t touch the shifting linkage).
When I started the engine to check oil pressure, I depressed the clutch while in neutral and was extremely surprised when the car lurched forward!
I can get into reverse, take the key in and out of the ignition but can’t get into any gears. In reverse the engine is killed, neutral is 1st gear.
Many thanks for thoughts and suggestions you have.

Do you have a hurst or a stock muncie shifter? Whichever you have, disconnect the linkage at the tranny, put the shifter in neutral and use a tool to lock it in neutral. THe Hurst uses a rod and the Muncie uses a flat stock tool.
You can use a drill bit or an allen wrtench for the pin tool or make the tool. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ment-tool.html

Then adjust and attach the linkage
