Default VBP Dual Mount Composite Spring

Hello All,
Some time a ago I purchased a new but never fitted dual mount VBP spring. At the time I was informed would need to get the two mounts - this was immediately forgotten.

The time has come to fit it all up, and it is now i realize I don't have the mounting brackets and I cant find where to purchase them from. Please note, I am in Australia....exchange rates and freight make purchasing very expensive....but if this needs to be done, so be it.

So.
Does anyone know where I can purchase from?
or
Does anyone have a pair they no longer require?
or, even better.
Could some one measure there own set with enough info that I can manufacture my own set.

Option 3 is my preference as I have the skills to do this easy enough, just need some ball park figures.

Thanks in Advance, Have a great day.

Option #3 is probably your only option. VBP is out of business. Good luck.

The 1963 to 1979 used one mounting set up. The 1980 to 1982 used another.. The odds have it that you have the early one.

Out of curiosity does your spring have a continues arch or does it look more like a Gull Wing ? Do you remember how long ago you bought it. The Springs made in the last couple of years had problems. The Spring will have a Tag on it with some valuable information.

Flat in the Middle.
Bought it about a year ago second hand, but never installed.
Only info on it is 8613-2 RDM K-264.

Do you have any info on the mounts?

If you Google VB&P how to Video there is one probably 15 years old that shows all the parts. This is for a 63-79 car.

Thanks. Seen that. I need dimensions for the bracket.
I have some photos i have found in the internet, but still very hard to scale for correct size.

I may have a set of brackets. I'll check tomorrow. You need the rear brackets correct?

Van Steel has many of the VB&P molds. I don't know if they support the dual-mount spring, but their low-arch single mount springs are duplicates of the VB&P design.

It's worth giving them a call/email before you fabricate anything.

I was going suggest exactly that.
I believe they made that deal with the VB&P folks to support their line too.

Good luck OP!

As far as I understand they have not produced the Dual l Mount Spring. Since a regular Springs probably outsold the Dual Mount 20 to 1 or better there probably isn't a lot of demand for replacements. To sell them in any Volume then they need to gear up and make the Mounts that the Thread Starter needs. If they do that than they are making a product that competes with their own line of Coil Overs. So I don't think we will see anything soon in the Dual Mount Springs. I however am in the market for one. I much prefer the original Arched one rather than the Gull Wing ones that broke right away. Had nobody offered the Mounts I was considering offering to buy the Spring and Ship it back to America. They don't come up for sale all that often.

I had the arched dual mount spring from VBP and it broke after about 600 mi. Went back to a single mount as I knew that getting replacement dual mount springs was going to be a hassle.
