Default Heater Core removal

I have a '77 L82 with the Engine out so I removed the Evaporator because my future plan was to install a Vinrage Air unit. I also removed the blower unit so I need to temporarily patch the holes. My problem is how to take out the heater core and air box or what ever that big unit is under the dash.I removed the left side inside panel but it looks like I will have to remove the upper gauge panel and radio. I just don't want to tear stuff out if it isn't necessary.

I don't know you tube videos. But I would certainly remove the passengers side seat, the sides off the console, the center guage cluster with the radio. And it sounds like you already have the kick panel and Map pocket out. Pain in the butt job.
why not wait until you get your vintage air kit if your going that way and do it all at once?

This article has 30+ pics that should help but it does say that the gauges and radio need to come out...

Did you already buy the Vintage Air kit?

If not, perhaps they will sell you the block-off plate now, so you don't have to do that part twice.

I'm at the same point on my 79.
