I am not familiar with the C2 folks so am posting here. Any thoughts on this 1964? I have e-mailed re numbers but I imagine it is NOM. No reply yet. Looks fairly clean. And the dealer seems to have a good reputation.
Paul79,
That's a very good price and what looks like a very nice car.....I would jump on it....however space to keep it is not available at this time. :seeya Cappy
Exactly! There is a reason for that price being low. I have e-mailed as noted but no reply yet. A MAACO paint job, a cheapy top, a rusty frame and there you go. I agree, buyer beware.
Paul,
I am very familiar with C-2's as I have owned a number of them, including a '64 Roadster.
This looks like a very nice one. There is a lot of info. missing on the car, but even a nice NOM and no numbers matching, it is still well worth the asking price.
If I were you, I would follow thru with checking this one out and probally purchasing it.
I'm thinking. It is just west of the Detroit/Windsor border so a one-day trip for me. I would not buy without an on-site inspection. Just a couple of hours away by air and rental car.

We're not have as bad as most people say over in C2. :D
Paul, I don't think I'd buy any old Corvette, especially from the north country, without personally examining it, espcially underneath. But that's just my conservative nature.
It will have drum brakes (not that there's anything wrong with that) and single-stage Master Cylinder. No air and no power steering. Base engine.
I'd stack these things up against your intended use before anything else.
Thanks. Ottawa-Detroit by air and rental car to Lansing before buying ;) . But those fellows better e-mail me back with answers to my questions before I even consider going in that direction:
-VIN
-motor number, 300hp of what origin?
-CarFax record
-previous damage reports
-finance liens, any?
-frame rust, description, status
-paint, 0-10
-interior, 0-10
-tires, 0-10
-safetied? Certified for road
I can't imagine what could be wrong that wouldn't make that car worth at least that much. I paid nearly that much for my 66, with the wrong motor and needing frame and body repair.
