He did not give me the instructions. With the car, no.

I love the car, I do not wish to take it back. I came here hoping someone else here had encountered this and had a solution. I am a fair mechanic, but not a suspension expert.

Dude. It's literally all new components, zero miles. While yes I accept that it's now my problem, no I don't believe that that relieves them of all liability. The previous owner has reached out to them and they supposedly forwarded the video of my actual car to their engineering dept. Sounds like a stall tactic, but cannot know for sure. The dou le adjustable coilovers are a thing of beauty and i would like to keep them. I have looked locally for a replacement rack and they are out of stock. I ha e no problem spending a couple hundred on a new rack if need be. I just think it would be a dirty move on their part to sell a defective part and not stand behind their product. Especially given what he paid for the kit. They think highly of their products, as evidenced by the price.

Did you look on the website for the instructions or ask them to email them to you. This is a common modification so something possibly wasn't correctly assembled.

Can you post some photos or video of your actual car?

The Steeroids R&P system should be completely independent of your coil-over suspension, so there's no reason to worry about that. You just need a working steering system. Do you have the old steering components? If you aren't going to return the car, or otherwise have the PO compel Speed Direct to help, finding a cheap way to fix or replace the steering should be the focus.

Options:
1. Disassemble and reassemble the Steeroids gear, following the instructions, and YouTube videos. Perhaps you'll find a manufacturing defect, or a missing part. Perhaps Steeroids will help, or you may need to buy a new R&P unit.
2. Convert the car back to stock steering
3. Convert to stock-style manual steering
4. Convert the car to Borgeson steering

Options 2-4 will cost some money, +/- $1000-, depending on what parts you already have.

Parting thoughts: Did the OP do the install, or a garage? Did it not raise any red flags that all this work was done to the car, and then zero road miles were put on it?

Anyone know which R&P do Steeroid use?

At this point, it's time to take the R&P out and see for yourself what's the problem. The Internet can't help much beyond that.

I think I would take the tie rod plate off and make sure the spacers are in there. If so I think I'd order a new rack and see if it is tighter, you can check it before installing and that will tell you if the original is bad and give you a direction to go. If it's tighter then install it and be happy for less than two hundred, and it's returnable within 30 days so win win.... For the record I'm not 1000 percent sure this is a direct replacement for yours but I'm pretty sure, and it is returnable anyways....

BTW: Is it just me or does your lower ball joint have a lot of play, in that video you posted... Can't say I've seen one move that much by wiggling the wheel...Just a thought...

Mine doses not move like that. It's mounted solid to the rack.

Take it apart and verify they installed it correctly. Check the phasing of the U-joints as well.

I think this pretty much sums it up from the manufacturer. However, the only problem with this statement is...define a slight amount? What exactly does that mean, 1/32", 1/64", 1/16", 1/8" or something else. I think no matter what, you need the original instructions and figure out what the issue happens to be. GL with your steering mod.

Sounds like a good reason to not install it, dynamic toe.
