So I have been chasing a noise and have finally found the culprit. The parking shoe hold down pin/spring/cap assemblies on the driver’s control arm. The forward cap is hitting the back of the wheel studs. The rear one looks bent. Also noticed I may have a bent rear slot mag. Bummer. Check out the vids, let me know what you think,
Thank you for posting that pic Peterbuilt! Looks like the 2 hold down pins are different lengths and whoever rebuilt the parking brakes may have put them in the wrong spots.
side note: I bought this car 2 weeks ago. Bought it from a widow. Original paint and mostly original interior. Probably the cleanest birdcage I’ve ever seen. Body mounts all look great, even #2 on each side. She said her husband took it to the shop any time he though something was wrong.
