1968 L79 Convertible
I'm looking for some documentation or a how to vid for replacing the rear license plate lamp and fiber optic cable... Can't find much any help greatly appreciated

The fiber optic cables are bundled with the wiring harness. As the optical cables are black, they blend in pretty much with the black electrical tape on the harness.

Hello Jim,
Back many a year ago I had my front end wiring harness replaced and I was most surprised to find the fiber-optics in the wire bundles. The old one was getting brittle 20 years ago. Just remember to treat it as if it were made of Glass and you should be alright.
Remember when working anywhere near them that they are "There" and can be broken fairly easily. My '68 is closing in on being 56 years old and the wiring harness' have stiffened up a bit. I had one missing lens near the center console and bought a pack of them at a Corvette Show. I used "extremely fine" sandpaper to clean up the lens' faces and that makes a big difference.
It is a nice item to have working even if it is just for looks!
