ENS-3-1114G (G= graphite impregnated) black in color. Better than the red ones.
Why would the graphite ones be better than the "plain" ones?
I could belive that when it somes to moving parts such as bushings, but not motormounts,or?
Well i had heard that the graphite ones were better but I cant remember why off the top of my head. Maybe my informant was talkin out his ****. Ill try to find any specific reasons, if there are any. If not, then my bad and you wont hear back from me on this topic.
The fact appears to be true as you have stated. On moving parts like suspension bushings is where the graphite impregnated is said to help cut down on squeaking. Not so relevant when it comes to motor mounts. I stand corrected. :D
Graphite is indeed a dry lubricant. Are they much more expensive? I wanted the red ones for looks. If I want to stop the squeeking I'll just grind down a bunch of pencils and smear the graphite between the mounts :) :jester
If you would compare the engine movement between a Polymount and a "standard" interlocking rubbermount, how much more/less movement is there?

Much less movement with the poly mount. The standard mount has a locking tab to prevent the engine from lifting to far when the mount becomes warn or broken. I got the polygraphite engine and tranny mounts and there is very little movement. And still great vibration controll.

Not so fast. Graphite may be better for moving parts ... especially those that do not require a bond between the poly & metal (poly CA bushings are not bonded). But motor mounts do have a poly-to-metal bond ... a bond that requires integrity. Graphite does not bond to metal ... so, when there's graphite mixed in with the poly ... the poly-to-metal bond is not as robust as when no graphite in the mix. My suggestion ... get the red ones (no graphite) ... I did. I wanted black motor mounts but went with red simply because of the bonding consideration. BTW, I checked w/ ES on this a couple years back ... they informed me that all their black poly has graphite in it and their red does not.
