You are absolutely right "AGAIN" as the 1968 Corvette came with 7" rims and any 8" rim could rub your frame Good call there Rescue Rogers!
When I bought my C3 it had two 7" rims on the back and two 8" rims on the front. I ended up buying a set of new 8" rims as I want as much rubber as I can get on the road. The car sure handles better with four rims that match. I want to switch to a 18" or 20" tire if I could afford to. What are you using on your Corvette there RR?

I went from a c3 8" Rally to 17"x 8 inch and now back tob15 inch.....the 8 inch rally was about an 1/8th inch from rubbing the e brake bracket on the trailing arms...way too close. The fronts rubbed the frame smooth at thevrear of the front wheel well. Then i went to the 17s and there was a ton of room from the e brake mount but the spring bolt looked closer....never had any cut tires though....fronts still rubbed.
The 15s I have now are too little back space and are really wide so the hit the back of the front fender.....but they look cool
