Locating 1982 Crossfire Replacement Crankcase Breather Element Filter
Looking for correct replacement part for crankcase breather element filter unit. Not seeing much from general Google searches. The one I have appears to be original, tired, and (though you can't really see it in photo) a little melty melty on bottom side from when Bubba sprung a massive coolant leak from the upper rad hose.
I have not been able to source this air cleaner part and had to resort to repairing mine on my 82. You can pull that filter material out and insert your own filter material from Lowe's in a large sheet and cut to fit. If the housing is broken you can epoxy it back together and while drying, put some small clamps on it. It works just fine. You could also go the the route of trying to find one at a wrecking yard? GL in your quest.
