Who does the community suggest to send my original radiator off to to have it repaired?
I do not want it restored, just repaired. It came with the car. I don't know if it leaks or is clogged up.
I just know it was replaced several years ago.
I would review what kind of shape the current radiator is. Repairing may just be bandaid on a rotted/ clogged radiator.
When i wanted to have mine repaired/ re-cored locally (if you can even find a place that does them still) , it was the same price as an aluminum radiator that cools much better than OEM especially in your area. if original and you want to keep it, throw it in the rafters..
post some pics especially inside tubes.. not sure what is in there now compared to original.

As I understand it the OP wants to take the original one the previous owner stuck in the rafters and have it redone, not the replacement came already in the car when he or she bought it? I could be wrong here but unless the car doesnt run they would know if it leaks or is clogged otherwise.
I have mine along side a work bench I only held on to it because it was made locally and the old Harrison plant near me.
Use Google and locate a radiator repair shop located in a city the size of Austin. These shops mostly repair truck, construction, and specialty vehicles radiators. After the third time looking to have mine repaired, my shop said they couldn’t soldier rust. So they installed a new one. I am going to put the OEM Harrison radiator on my fence, and add it to my display of “Automotive Art.”
I just recently found a nice Harrison radiator for my BB 1969.
I called Dewitt’s and they sell the replacement core for $699
We have a local place here in Ventura County that will take my old Harrison tanks and solder the new core.
Cores were being made in the USA by Maine Radiator https://maineradiator.com
They made a very specific core for my 1942 Jeep which required a unique cut of the fins in order to look correct and they delivered.
They do copper/brass - not aluminum. You might try contacting them to see if they can make your core and if they can recommend a local installer.
WOW! 700 bucks for the core, then labor to solder it all together. You must really want that Radiator!
Yep, it’s for a 1969 L89 car I’ll be taking thru judging. I have an aluminum Dewitt’s already but really wanted to restore the car to original.
Plus, I have 2 other BB corvettes that use the same radiator.
I figure it can’t hurt to have an extra.

Interesting.
I wonder if this is where Dewitt’s sources there copper/brass cores?
I was told from Dewitt’s that it would take 4-6 weeks to source.
