1969: Recommended Suspension Upgrades?
Here are all the parts on the floor of my garage:
The upper control arm ball joints are likely original - they are riveted. As a matter of fact, I think likely ALL the front suspension is original equipment. With the exception of the SIGNIFICANT grime on everything, some parts actually appear to be in OK condition. Having said that, it is silly not to replace everything while I have everything apart.
I did an initial inspection of everything and the upper and lower control arms seem to be very serviceable, with no obvious issues. Based on this, my decision is to rebuild everything to stock specifications, plus add Bilstein shocks. I thought a lot about the coilover conversion, but I likely have a lot more parts needed to get this car truly functional, so I need to tread a bit more carefully with cost. If I don't love the suspension, I can fairly easily replace the springs with coilovers later.
Again, thanks everyone for your help to drive me to a decision regarding the suspension.

I will now continue with updates in my thread about "awakening" my 69. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...awakening.html
