Center console what's these wires?
I was fixing my ventilation and hvac controls in my 1972 Corvette Coupe Automatic that I am restoring.
I found that nothing was connected and I cannot even find the wires anymore.
All the wires I could find were the ones below and I was wondering if someone could help me where
they are supposed to go. I have had a look at the wiring diagrams, but I still cannot figure it out.
The pink wires comes from the gear shifter and it looks like it only fits in one place, but I am not sure
if it can go on any direction, or what it does. The other wire I green and red I think from another post
is a neutral safety switch, but the poster never disclosed where he eventually found it was meant to
connect. The only other cable is the brown one.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers, Matt
(It doesn't go to the hvac control where you're holding it if that's what you're thinking) It goes back into the harness along with the pink green set
It comes out of the other plug as only 2 pink and that jumper part to the pink green doesn't show on wiring diagrams like it does in the car. It doesn't matter which way it goes into the plug (I thought it was keyed but I guess not) on my pics I can see one with a white stripe and it comes out as one with a white stripe but I can't see if they both have stripes or not.
The single brown I'm not sure about. There's a tan that goes to the parking brake switch but I believe it's got a different plug on it.
I'll have to think on that one

There's a single black connector that goes to a spade on the underside of the shifter plate to act as a ground for the HVAC/Lighter/PRNDL light but it seems to be it has another connector 6" over on the same wire and I don't remember it having the plastic cover, just a bare spade connector
Still thinking

Check if it has power all the time because mine does.
I will double check my old wiring diagram. Some times they are not real clear.
