Default Center console what's these wires?

Hi All Corvette Enthusiasts,

I was fixing my ventilation and hvac controls in my 1972 Corvette Coupe Automatic that I am restoring.
I found that nothing was connected and I cannot even find the wires anymore.
All the wires I could find were the ones below and I was wondering if someone could help me where
they are supposed to go. I have had a look at the wiring diagrams, but I still cannot figure it out.
The pink wires comes from the gear shifter and it looks like it only fits in one place, but I am not sure
if it can go on any direction, or what it does. The other wire I green and red I think from another post
is a neutral safety switch, but the poster never disclosed where he eventually found it was meant to
connect. The only other cable is the brown one.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers, Matt

The pink and green wires in the L shaped plug are for the reverse lights and 3 pink in the 2 prong plug are for the seat-belt warning which only goes off when it's in gear which is why it's connected to the shifter.
(It doesn't go to the hvac control where you're holding it if that's what you're thinking) It goes back into the harness along with the pink green set
It comes out of the other plug as only 2 pink and that jumper part to the pink green doesn't show on wiring diagrams like it does in the car. It doesn't matter which way it goes into the plug (I thought it was keyed but I guess not) on my pics I can see one with a white stripe and it comes out as one with a white stripe but I can't see if they both have stripes or not.

The single brown I'm not sure about. There's a tan that goes to the parking brake switch but I believe it's got a different plug on it.
I'll have to think on that one

I think that single brown wire goes to the heater/ventilation controller on the console shift plate.

No chance that brown is actually black is there?
There's a single black connector that goes to a spade on the underside of the shifter plate to act as a ground for the HVAC/Lighter/PRNDL light but it seems to be it has another connector 6" over on the same wire and I don't remember it having the plastic cover, just a bare spade connector
Still thinking

A good color wiring diagram will help.

Doc Rebuild's laminated color Oosoez (or something like that) are darned good diagrams that show connectors too. I looked at my '72 diagrams from Doc but only spotted the reverse light plug – doesn't help that I'm colorblind!

That Brown one may be for the Hazard Lights - not sure.
Check if it has power all the time because mine does.
I will double check my old wiring diagram. Some times they are not real clear.

Shouldn't be over in the console, it is brown but runs from fuse block to steering column

I can't find any reference to a single brown wire in the console anywhere. Are you sure it's definitely brown?

Me either. I can only find the TAN single wire for the Parking Brake light.
