C3 steering wheel
Hi all! I'm new to the group and the recent new owner of a '76 stingray 😃!!! I'm looking to see if I can replace the telescoping/tilt steering wheel/column with a non t&t type. Anyone know? TIA

2 parts.
Part 1. NOBODY does that!
Part 2. Place a ad in the parts wanted/parts for sale C3 forum. State that you wish to trade your T/T column for a standard one.
Certain you will get plenty wishing to trade.
Then yes you can swap it out very easily and devalue your car.

As 4-Vettes said, "Nobody does that!", so it kinda begs the question why you want to. I can't think of any drawback to the T&T unless it's just needing rebuilt and is cost prohibitive for you. It will devalue the car slightly and could limit the pool of future buyers - we are officially a "fat" country compared to 50 years ago when the standard columns & steering wheels were fixed.
