1977 Corvette brake light issue
I would like to start by saying any help is greatly appreciated. I bought a 77 vette for my son and I to restore and I am going through wiring issues pertaining to the lights now. I fixed the turn lights and hazzard lights by replacing the turn signal switch along with the flasher with brand new components. The brake lights, however, will not come on. The brake switch works and in fact I shorted the brake switch wires to be sure I got power to the white wire(harmonica position P). Unfortunately, I do not see any power on the dark green and yellow wires coming to the harmonica connector(Position N and M). Once again, the turn signals and hazards work fine. It is to my understanding that Positions N and M should be activated when position P has power and subsequently turn the brake lights on. I checked the current draw with an ammeter by removing the brake switch and using the ammpeter as the series jumper, the current was miniscule as if there were an open circuit. Is there something wrong with the new turn signal switch I purchased? I haven't seen anything that shows the actual wiring of the turn signal switch and I didn't want to tear one apart to figure out the contact connections.
Thanks again,
Ben
