Ok i've pretty new to this forum, And i was wondering if you guys could give me a bit of help. I have a 75 coupe that we are in the process of giving a frame of resto too.
The problem seems to be, we can't figure out how to get the body off. I know there are 8 body bushings. And it seems like there is epoxy all over the place. Whats the best and easiest way to reomove the body? Are there any body FAQ's or How-to's out there?
Thanks for the topics, they were rather helpful. So i assume you take the whole body off all at once? I was under the assumption that you took it off in pieces like the front piece and the rear piece. So i need to rig a hoist of somesort?
You can separate it into 2 pieces, the front and rest of the body. Yes you would need some sort of "block and tackle" with straps to lift it up off the mounts
I used man power to remove the body, took 11 guys. My car was in one piece, minus the bumbers. I used hydraulic crane and 4 point harness to put the body back on. You'll also need a body dolly for the body.
