Borla exhaust ( Muffler Only)
Hi Group, I was just think and asking if I can use my Borla mufflers on my 1981 C3 corvette using the mufflers only not pipes. I had a C7 used them for less than two weeks didn't like the sound and replaced them with Magna Flow, cat back, changed the sound.
If not what mufflers should I purchase to get that nice deep throb sound ?

Borla is a straight through perf core style muffler. Your Magnaflow, flowmaster Flow FX, Borla etc. are all going to sound similar. I ran borla and magnaflow clone on my 78 (converted to 80-82) and didn't like it (too loud) but I'm also running long tubes, dual 3" with xpipe. I went with the dynomax super turbos which are a low tone deep sound and they really are. I highly recommend them for the price. Your looking for a super turbo/turbo style muffler for deep.
