Default jet hot hooker headers with side pipes anyone? (GP inside)

all this talk about headers has made me call around to see what i could get a group purchase for and this is what i came up with if anybody is looking for some. can anybody do better?

"The best
price I can offer for the same set up is $1051.40 to the door. All the
prices include the headers, sidepipes fully coated in&out with the
sterling silver finish and muffler inserts. If someone doesn't want the
inserts ,take $110 off the price."

thats $941.40 for me so the wife is going to kill me for getting this after getting in on the aluminum radiator gp the other day :D

please reply if you want them or if you have any guestions. can anybody get the with jet hot coating for less?

Mike

I'm in the market for sidepipes and header... but an earlier topic made me realize the Hooker set up won't work with steeroids. The folks at Stahl said they would re-work the driverside header to fit around my Steeroids. Otherwise I'd jump right onboard. Sure you don't want Stahl's... ;)

ricketyray,
the reason i want to go with jet hot is they have the best price i could find for a new system. just the other day a forum member paid about $1000 to get a set of what i think was used headers and sidepipes back to like new condition. that made me think $941.40 for new was too good to pass up and it comes with the following:
At the same time, they retard thermal fatigue and protect metallic substrates from oxidation and corrosion more effectively than any other commercially available coating. In salt-spray tests designed to accelerate rusting, for example, JET-HOT protects steel over 140 times longer than high-temperature paint, more than 14 times longer than chrome and more than 5 times longer than first-generation metallic-ceramic coatings. (See "Corrosion Comparison" below.)

BEST GUARANTEE—JET-HOT backs its coatings and workmanship with the most comprehensive guarantee in the industry, including lifetime rust-through protection on new headers.

let me know if you can get better than this but i dont think it can be done

How much would it be if we already own the side pipes and wanted to get them coated with the sterling coating.

It sounds nice, and the black coated side pipes are awfully tempting, but this is just too soon on the heels of the previous group purchases...

Is jet-hot a supporting vendor? If not you better go offline with this GP.

OK, I'm interested. Tell me what I need to do. Thanks.

Chris,
As far as taking this group purchase offline, I don't think Jet-Hot competes with any of the supporting vendors on here so it shouldn't be a problem. Correct me if I'm wrong on this.

I take it that $1000 is a SB price? That's about the same price they quoted me about a year($1,175) ago when I was going to get them for my SB. They already offer CF members a 10% discount, so where does the GP advantage come into play??

I got another quote from them a few months ago for my BB---$1,225

1970 stingray,
this is for 1962 thru 1982 vettes big block or small block and the kit comes with headers, sidepipes, and inserts. the gp goes to the end of feb. this is $173.60 off of the price you got and that price was with your CF discount.
as for the extra $176 it should get me the new mini starter i want. :smash:

Well at $941 for the BB's too,(sans inserts)-- now you got my attention. :D Is there a certain number of buyers required to get this price?

sorry it took me so long to get this back up.

The retail price to coat the headers,in&out with the sterling silver
finish,is $279+$27s&h back. The retail on the side pipes is $280+$39s&h
back. As a package, we would charge $480(retail)+$65s&h back. We already
offer a standard 20% discount off the retail coating price. I could
offer a 30% discount for any parts sent in for coating.
