Go Dynomax :)
I've gone through over $125 in gaskets and fasteners trying to get them to seal.....soooooo.....finally after taking them off once again I decided to lay a straight edge across the primaries, the center two had a 1/16" gap!
I called my exhaust shop (purchased headers from summit) and told them the problem and asked if they could weld new o-rings on so I could get them to seal. Instead, the lady said she would check into a warranty.
Talked to her today, brought the headers for them to look at, and the flanges were warped along the bolts and on the surface. She called her supplier and they have a limited life-time warranty.
She said my new pair will be here in 1-2 weeks! :D
No hassle and a new shiny pair of headers to go with my 383.
Let’s just hope the new pair seals better.
So, I guess I’m a lot happier with them then I was before. Maybe I just got a bad set
The moral of the story:
Check the simple things before spending WAY to much time fighting the problem.
