Well, 4 months after closing down my business I have finally landed a full time position as a Marketing and Leasing Manager for a large publically traded real estate investment trust company. :D

With the baby coming in 2 months, I was starting to sweat a bit! :crazy: The pay is more than I expected to find so ... :thumbs: Also a car allowance so maybe the future holds something shiny......

This is a BIG relief as well as an unexpected opportunity. I was doing some real grunt work for these guys for peanuts as a consultant since early Dec. I kinda convinced them that all my work will be useless if they didn't have a marketing and/or leasing manager to implement the recommendations. From there, they decided they needed to create the position and they interviewed 4 people (me included).

I have been on edge for 2 weeks waiting for an answer so this piece of news was greeting with real enthusiasm. :yesnod:

Hmmmm....

- Finish the 454?
- 700R4?
- Velour interior?

Congratulations!! I got laid off in October, asked to work until January, then in December, I was asked to work until May. Early in January, as I was really starting to look forward to my severance pay, I was told that I was no longer laid off. :rolleyes: :hurray:
