All I could find locally was this. Next big town is an hour away, ordering online takes shipping almost a week to get here. I bought it and put it in without thinking. Is this acceptable in my 4 speed? O'Reilly's
No major harm done but a better choice would have been PennGrade1 80W90. You might encounter some issues with shifting responsiveness with the heavier viscosity you put in though.

I just changed to this from an unknown oil in my ‘71 Muncie. Made a noticeable difference in shifting smoothness.
I like Driven products - use their HR50 in both my Corvettes. My engine builder who does a lot of track cars and restoration engines recommended it a few years back.
If you don't know the story behind Driven, it's kinda interesting. Lake Speed Jr., son of racer Lake Speed, was working for Joe Gibbs Racing in the early 2000s. He developed Gibbs' own oil for racing and then began doing formulations for enthusiasts. which kicked off Driven oils. Lake Jr. left Driven about 4-5 years ago and now is with Total Seal - he continues to talk about oil (no brand in particular) and has a YouTube channel that explains in depth the considerations for choosing an oil. I am from south Louisiana and had to go to Green Bay in October a couple of years ago. When I got up the first morning there was frost on the ground. I asked the hotel clerk if there was an unusual front coming through, but she said it was only 32 that night, pretty typical.
32!! In October!! It is still hot as Hades until late November here. You guys are some rugged dudes up there.

It was 37 here the other night lol. I don't drive it when it's cold. It stays in the warm garage. It's got a tunnel ram so anything under 60 degrees makes it a bitch to run and drive... The 66 Pontiac on the other hand runs the best when it's a wee bit chilly.
