I'm looking for ideas on how to remove the #1 body bolt on each side. I was able to remove 2, 3 and 4 without much for issues but I'm can't get the bolt free in #1. Nut came right off, but the bolt is rusted with in the mount. I think a sawzall would be tight and might damage parts I don't want to damage. Maybe an air chisel with a flat nose on it to loosen up the bolt?
If the nut is off the body will now lift. The rubber bits should just crumble. The bolt is rusted to the sleeve.
My number 1 on the passengers side was really, really bad as well. Managed to get all the bits out when I lifted the body. Try spinning the bolt from above. I'm thinking that helped with mine.
So, I went back and found the pic's of my number 1 body mount, passengers (right) side. It was viewing this mount from under the car, while under it attending to a completely unrelated issue, that finally got me off my butt so to speak to replace all my body mounts. I knew I had been putting it off, it is a huge job and I've never had the space to do it. But after seeing this, I found a way.
Passengers side Number 1 Body Mount,
I was thinking this really didn't look very good at all!
Same Mount after Removal.
Just a slight amount of minimal corrosion.
If I could get this out, you can get yours out too!
