Engine Info

Just purchased a 76 Vette, a little rough around the edges but I am planning to bring it back to life. The previous owner did spend some money to rebuild the (don't think its the original) engine and replace all the bushings and brakes. After that it sat for almost 10 years after he started to strip the paint.

I have attached picture of the pad on the front of the engine as well as the casting on the back, just want to know what I've got...

Decodes on the outside as:

ZBB 1979 350 a/t, L82 4 225hp Vette

Flint built Sept 15.

Well, it's a Corvette engine at least and not from a station wagon, pickup truck, or, <gasp> a 4-door Caprice! Looks like it came from #5585, built Sept 15th.
